About the Job

The AutoCAD operator tasks are to create or edit technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations provided by the Engineering Department.

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities

* Draft and design new and existing products.

* Support sales staff with submittal and production drawings.

* Operates computer-aided design (CAD) system

* Confers with engineering to define design modifications

* Keys in specified information to produce graphic representation hard copy of the design for review as well as approval by engineering staff

* Enters specified information into a computer, using a keyboard, to generate approved design

* Assist with project work as directed by Department Manager

* Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures and guidelines

* Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

* Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail

* Must have the ability to create and modify drawings under strict timelines

* Accuracy in data entry

* Proficient in Microsoft Office

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Must have a high mathematic and logical aptitude, especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure

* Must be familiar with Millimeters and Inches as a unit of measure

* Must be highly detail-oriented and can solve problems with little guidance

* Strong customer service skills, organizational skills,

* Ability to work effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships

* Ability to self-manage and multitask

* Ability to learn new programs

* Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic

Education/Experience

* High school graduate or equivalent

* 1+ years related experience with the ability to read & understand drawings and sketches and incorporate the information onto a software program used in the fabrication

* Construction Industry preferred
