Job Description

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Focus on achievement of company objectives by evaluating and repairing furniture while exceeding customer

expectations. Create great lifetime furniture experiences for our customers by using communication and taking action

that are representative of our values (People, Connectedness, Foresight, Improvement, Imagination).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Review work order and gather appropriate tools and parts prior to leaving for the job site.

2. Call client when in route.

3. Conduct introduction and scope review with customer.

4. Evaluate item(s) that need repair.

5. Repair item(s).

6. Complete transaction in EWOK.

7. Electronically document all defective items, parts to be ordered, damage and change orders through pictures and EWOK.

8. Complete product return documentation when necessary.

9. Empty company vehicle and trash upon return to warehouse. Maintain the appearance/cleanliness of company vehicles.

10. Assist with parts and labor quotes for repairs.

11. Complete all assigned tasks for the day and communicate to manager if unable to do so.

PERFORMANCE:

Provide project and customer-appropriate solutions that help us win and retain customers.

Evaluate items in need of repair.

Anticipate likely parts needed and pull them from stock to speed up repair.

Provide all relevant information to document the condition and to file a claim.

Repair broken items.

Response times and quality of internal and external communications and deliverables must meet or exceed customer expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Previous furniture installation or repair experience required. Strong product and technical knowledge of major contract furniture manufacturers preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical requirements described are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, squat, push/pull, balance weight for extended periods of time, use hands to hold and finger objects of all size, reach, talk and hear.

The work requires physical effort, use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity and use of tools requiring coordinated movements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
