SAIC is hiring a Junior AWS Cloud Computing Engineer  for its Cloud One Digital Engineering DevSecOps Team. This team is responsible for the architecture, engineering and sustainment of AF Cloud Digital Engineering platform currently deployed on AWS Cloud. This work supports the Cloud One Digital Engineering program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected, virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, services, and data serves the U.S. AirForce (USAF) and other Government Customers. Cloud One facilitates the Government's efforts to migrate applications to a cloud environment, allowing the closure of data centers to support the Data Center Optimization Initiative (DCOI) and allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF operations.

This position is hybrid remote for the first few months then 80% onsite at Hanscomb AFB in Bedford, MA once access is granted.

Job Responsibilities:

• Point of contact for Cloud One Service Now Tier 1, 2 and 3 tickets for IL-4, IL-5, IL-6 (NIPRNet / SIPRNet)
• SAIC Coordinator / Account Creator POC for of SAAR C1FAMS/R4 process
• Support other service desk activities as needed
• Provide first contact and incident resolution to customer with hardware, software, and application problems including both customer telephone support as well as electronically submitted requests
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or escalate technical issues
• Provide polite and friendly customer service
• Record and track issues from onset to conclusion, support account creation and provisioning process, systematically interpret user problems, identify solutions, escalate and report incidents and outages, and communicate effectively with customers till resolution

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

• Interim Secret clearance; Ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance required to maintain employment
• US citizenship required

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

• Security + or equivalent certification

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Demonstrated experience with: AWS, Networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, storage, Terraform, Ansible, Jira, Confluence
• Knowledge of working with DevSecOps tool chains
• Experience preparing technical documentation

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Zero trust architectures.
• AWS Workspaces or experience deploying VDI solutions to AWS Cloud
• AF Cloud One or Platform 1 development, engineering, operations and sustainment
• Desired experience installing DE tools including Cameo, SPARX, MathWorks, and AFSIM
• In-depth understanding of, and experience as a cloud engineer with AWS, Networking, VPNs, IaaS, PaaS, SQL, storage, Azure AD, F5, Barracuda
• AWS Cloud Certification (able to obtain in 6 months)
