Established in 1972, Dermatology Associates of Concord is a leading Physician-owned dermatology practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. The practice consists of 14 providers and has offices in Concord, Cambridge, and Waltham. We specialize in both medical and cosmetic dermatology, offering a comprehensive range of services to meet the diverse needs of our community. The phototherapy technician is responsible for the treatment of Psoriasis, Eczema, Vitiligo, as well as other photo-responsive skin conditions.
Receives and records results and ensures that patient records are properly maintained and that charts are updated promptly. Forwards medical records/visit notes to physician providers for signature.
This position requires knowledge of math/calculating percentage increases of doses; evaluating the patient each visit for side effects and possible changes in health/medication and makes dosage adjustments accordingly.
These patients often have psychological needs around dealing with their skin disease and the phototherapy technician provides a therapeutic listening environment.
This is a position of high responsibility requiring excellent assessment and communications skills, ability to accurately calculate dosages, evaluate dosimetry of lights, plan patient follow up and ask for guidance from the supervising MD when needed.
