We are seeking a
Product Technician to join our manufacturing team in Owatonna, MN. As a
Product Technician you would be responsible for performing routine materials inspection/handling, routine machine operations, assembly, basic quality control, and packing/shipping prep under limited supervision in a manner, which meets or exceeds the established quality and quantity standards for the area.
Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Reviews work assignments, paperwork, and other documentation/directions to facilitate the best of time and activity for the shift.
- Performs manufacturing processes assigned according to established policies, procedures, and standards of the area
- Checks completed work for conformance with specifications, noting and forwarding Defective Material Report (DMR) data for decision and action by others
- Established quality and quantity standards are consistently met or exceeded, resulting in minimal downtime and/or rework
- Confers with Manager or department Lead to share information, observations, and recommendations for improvements in processes which might increase overall results within established quality standards
- Helps maintain the assigned area in a clean, orderly condition to minimize safety hazards and lost-time accidents
- Contributes to a cooperative work effort through performance of assigned duties in an accurate and timely manner
- Demonstrates knowledge of manufacturing processes, minimizes uncertainty, and facilitates organization of materials and tools to meet established quality and quantity standards
- Provides general guidance and assistance for trainees in a manner which contributes to their development and overall results being achieved
Highly qualified candidates will have: - 3-6 months manufacturing experience
- Experience training others
- Experience understanding engineering drawings
- Experience performing mechanical assembly
- Experience performing electrical assembly
- Experience operating machinery
