Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as
Recruiter/ Admissions Counselor for the
College of Education . The selected individual will take a leading role in recruiting activities, both on and off campus, designed to increase the enrollment of education majors, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels and serve as a counselor and interpreter of the University's policies to any individual seeking admission to the university. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) position.
Summary of Duties: - Recruit students to attend Faulkner University
- Visit advisors and associations at high schools, colleges and universities
- Generate contact information for prospective students through college/graduate school fairs, conferences, career days, and on-site events at schools
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential students, current students, alumni, college counselors, and administrators
- Initiate correspondence with prospective students through personal home visits, letters, phone calls and emails
- Develop recruiting plans for meeting predetermined goals in support of the College of Education
- Schedule and coordinate recruiting functions including on-campus events and tours
- Arrange speaking engagements for College of Education faculty
- Travel is necessary for recruiting and public relations
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- One to two years related experience preferred
- Active member of the church of Christ
