Berry Corporation (bry) has an exciting opening for a Reservoir/Exploitation Engineer (RE) to support one of our California or Uinta basin (Utah) assets. The RE breeds excellence and works closely with a cross-functional team to plan and implement responsible development programs and depletion strategies that add value to the company. Primary responsibilities include reservoir surveillance, reserve and resource evaluations, full-life production forecasting and depletion plans, as well as economic analyses for corporate planning and budgeting. Key Accountabilities
* Manages reserves and resources outlooks for areas of responsibility inclusive of inventory management and preparation of annual reserves presentation.
* Creates and optimizes asset development and appraisal plans for execution and future budgeting purposes.
* Performs and occasionally leads the team in subsurface depletion reviews and overall reservoir surveillance initiatives.
* Works with team members to create improvement initiatives that result in value generation, efficiencies, and/or reduction of risk.
* Ensures operational compliance to state regulatory agencies for active and future developments.
* Communicates new technical information and discoveries effectively.
* Works independently and occasionally mentors, guides, or directs less experienced engineers and team members.
* Complies with all the Company's Safety and Environmental policies, practices, and programs. Takes corrective action within training limitations and escalates as necessary.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in oil and gas development and reservoir management.
* Certifications and/or qualifications within the area of specialty that enhance working knowledge and capabilities are a plus.

* Advanced skill in Microsoft Office suite, petroleum engineering and petroleum economic software.
* Advanced knowledge of reservoir surveillance, both static and dynamic and the application of reservoir engineering fundamentals.
* Demonstrated knowledge of reserves reporting practices.
* Positive attitude and support for company values and goals.
* Ability to be entrepreneurial with a strong understanding and competency of the economic evaluation of oil and gas projects.
* Ability to leverage a professional network to add value to the company through exposure to new ideas and technologies.
* Demonstrated experience in developing mature fields, including the application of enhanced oil recovery techniques.
Desired
* Regional experience in several oil and gas producing basins, including exposure to multiple state regulatory schemes.
* Ability to mentor and guide staff effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range for this position in California is between $127,720 and $175,615 annually based on a full-time schedule. Please note that the annual salary information is a general guideline, and that annual salary will vary depending on your location and that Berry Corporation ("Berry") will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope of responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considers when extending an offer. This position is eligible for short-term cash incentive bonus and long-term incentive awarded in restricted share units, excellent benefits including full health benefits, 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, tuition reimbursement, 9/80 flex schedules, and generous paid time off.
