**Carmel Partners**, one of the nations highest-performing private equity real estate investment firms specializing in the investment, development, and construction of world-class multi-family projects is seeking an **Asset Manager (Retail)** with experience in real estate investment management and commercial and retail lease fulfillment.

You will oversee and coordinate with our third-party Retail Leasing Manager (RLM), our in-house Retail Construction Manager (RCM) who oversees retail space delivery condition and tenant improvement construction our in-house marketing team, and third-party Retail Property Managers (RPMs) to execute real estate actions outlined within commercial real estate leases. You will work in tandem with our Residential Asset Managers, leading negotiations and interfacing with brokers, consultants, and retail tenants.

**What youll do**

* Lead leasing of newly constructed, first generation spaces and lease renewals with the Retail Leasing Manager and Retail Property Manager

* Ensure delivery condition complies with lease Work Letter with Retail Construction Manager

* Manage the completion of tenant improvements with Retail Construction Manager coordinating payment of tenant improvement allowance to tenants, either from Job Cost or Operations teams

* Work with the Marketing team to create and execute the marketing plan from pre-leasing through stabilization and operating of the retail component of the asset

* Work with our Development and Investment teams, Retail Leasing Manager, and Construction group to underwrite new acquisitions and development opportunities, coordinate with Legal and Accounting teams regarding any lease amendments

* Prepare regular retail portfolio status and performance reports for our Head of Asset Management and senior management, and present quarterly asset reviews, asset level business plans, forecasts, and budgets alongside Asset Management teams to show asset performance

* Identify and select third-party retail property management firms who will manage the day-to-day leasing, repair and maintenance, tenant services and act as a liaison for our investors.

You understand the importance of building effective relationships, including with stakeholders within and outside of the company. You keep a cool head while managing multiple projects under time and other constraints. Youre a pro at communicating on and off the page, and your attention to detail is on point. Curiosity is a driving force behind your ability to solve problems, and you always maintain a positive attitude. Youll bring:

* Bachelors degree in Business or Finance, MBA desired

* 5+ years real estate investment management experience, retail/commercial leasing experience

* Multifamily experience strongly preferred

* Excellent interpersonal skills to work successfully with a range of stakeholders including regional employees, vendor and client staff, executive leadership, and external customers

* Strong understanding of real estate valuation processes

* Underwriting experience

* Understanding of property appraisal process
