Oakwood City Schools Oakwood School District has an opening for an administrative assistant for special education and sub coordinator. The Oakwood City School District, established in 1908, serves the community of Oakwood in Montgomery County, Ohio. The district is approximately 2.29 square miles and has five schools: Oakwood High School, Oakwood Junior High, Edwin D. Smith Elementary School, Harman Elementary School, and The Julian & Marjorie Lange School. It has approximately 250 employees.



Position Summary :
Assist and support the Special Education Supervisor with a variety of responsibilities to allow for smooth and efficient operations. Coordinates substitutes across the district.



Key Responsibilities:
* Maintains confidentiality of all materials.
* Assists with EMIS records for special education students.
* Assist with data entry, reporting, and maintaining confidential special education files.
* Assist with the interviewing of substitutes and managing onboarding
* Serve as the primary contact for substitutes and school administrators regarding coverage needs.
* Maintain substitute certifications, background checks, and employment documentation.
* Oversee Absence Management (AESOP) software and troubleshoot scheduling issues.
