Job Description
SAFETY: - Promote the Safety Culture of Agri-Service.
- Advocate and exemplify safety and safe working habits using proper safety equipment not limited to hand, face, and eye protection. (PPE)
- Follows company safety policy and procedures on the jobsite, promotes safe behavior with our customers.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Proper storage and placement of inventory ensuring no leaning and no overhanging parts.
- Follow proper lifting techniques.
- Handles chemicals in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
- Operate industrial vehicles and forklift in a safe manner and with a valid forklift certification.
- Uses correct tooling, performs tool inspections regularly, follows tools instructions and cleans as needed.
- Performs Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) of location and equipment, looks to eliminate or reduce potential hazards.
- Identifies potential safety concerns within work area and reports them to the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Properly drive, load and unload ag equipment
- Transport equipment including oversized loads
- Assist with or perform minor maintenance to equipment
- Maintain a clean truck and trailer
- Inspect truck daily to ensure it is in good operating condition
- Complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner, including logs and mileage worksheets
- Adheres to the Agri-Service Standards
- Adhere to all applicable safety policies and procedures
- Works within and promotes corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization
- Complete the work above in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Ability to drive/load/unload Ag equipment, properly securing loads to DOT specifications
- Attention to detail
- Proven skills in written and verbal communications
- Ability to balance assessing and prioritizing health and safety issues
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with others to include customers, vendors, employees and the public
- Ability to work extended hours, sometimes with short notice
- Ability for occasional overnight travel
- Experience and proficiency with electronic logs, accessing documents via email on a cell phone, Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word.
- Consistent attendance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must provide own basic set of mechanics tools (financial assistance available)
- Experience in ag equipment industry preferred
- Valid CDL Class A driver's license and acceptable driving record required
- Minimum of one year CDL Class A driving experience required
- Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English)
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: - Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally
- Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies
Pay scale : $25.49 - $31.87 Hourly
