A major chemical distributor in Akron is seeking an experienced and talented warehouse professional to join their team on 1st and 2nd shift on a temp-to-hire basis.

SHIFT: 2nd (2p-1030p) Mon-Fri.

PAY: $16-18/hr. Based on skills and experience

Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Professional, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by efficiently managing inventory, staging shipments, and loading trucks. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, safety, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, particularly in a chemical distribution setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate tow motors (forklifts) to move materials and products safely throughout the warehouse.
• Utilize RF scanners to track inventory, update stock levels, and ensure proper documentation.
• Stage shipments according to customer orders, ensuring all products are accurate and ready for delivery.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring products are secured and protected during transit.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in the warehouse to adhere to safety standards.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations, particularly in handling chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily goals and ensure timely order fulfillment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience working in a warehouse setting, ideally in a chemical distribution environment.
• Strong experience operating tow motors (forklifts) and RF scanners.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role that requires lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Demonstrated longevity and stability in previous warehouse roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions (if applicable).
